Hi, first post here so apologies if this is in the wrong place and yes I have searched previous posts.
I now have water dripping from the rear head rests above the 6th & 7th seat. The water only seems to drip after rain and when the vehicle is in motion and more drivers that passenger. Results in loud cries from the children in the back that their heads are getting wet!! :) Is this the dreaded sunroof leaking issue or given the drip location could it be something else?
many thanks
D.

your search should have given you lots of results..........all telling you, yes, your sunroofs are leaking.

Lots of different opinions on how to remedy as well.

For what it's worth. My opinion is to drop the headlining, remove sunroofs completely, clean all surfaces and apply Tiger Seal or Sikaflex on the sunroof flange to roof seal.

+1 nobody seems to notice, only when it's raining!

Cheers guys. I see all the info on the forum on how to remedy but just wanted to be sure on the diagnosis. Thanks for your comments

After it rains next ( shouldn't be long ) wipe off sunroofs . Nice and dry then open them up fully back and take a look in the front corners , if drip tray has water sitting in it . Then you have a leaky roof . Hence why when you move off it all comes out and showers ya kids . And as anyone will tell you on here ,it won't be the seal glass to frame , but will almost defiantly be the seal roof to frame

When you have done all that - sometimes, only sometimes mind, you find that there is another leak, the alpine windows have been known to rust in the corners.

Then there is the leak that sometimes gets in through the roof bar attachments points.

but with the roof-liner down you'll see 'tracks' of the water, failing that get someone to run a hose over the body and look for ingress.

FAQ section has a good piece on that.

Yes, but how would the water then work its way up, to drip off the headrest? Which are fixed above the top of the door.

It may not be the rear door that is the main causation for the dripping off the headliner, however it can be a major inlet of water as the seal at the top can be weak. Leak prevention is always worth over-doing in my opinion, and if fixing the rear door issue can help, then it's worth a mention :)

I have had water forming inside the rear roof liner and dripping down onto the boot floor ( I only have 5 seats as the boot belongs to Fido) I assumed it was the rear sunroof leaking in spite of my sealing it up. Recently, all was revealed when I noticed that the rear door was sloping, very slightly, down towards the handle. I know NOTHING about my D2 (only own and drive it!) so off to my trusy mechanic I went. ''The top hinge pin is bust'', said he!! He replaced the hinge and ..... hey presto - no leak!

Can't argue with that. My rear door did leak at the top. Moved the catch in a fraction and that sorted it.

I've just bought some self adhesive P shape storm guard to stick onto the door so there's a seal on both the door and the body of the disco. See if that helps as mine lets daylight through!
