water leak

now i have a water leak, well i think it is!!!!!!
coming from under the front , car was fine until i parked up.
itis a lot of water.
any ideas

hi how much water had it lost ? you did not have your aircon on did you? where was the water under the car.

As per the last thread, if it is fresh water then it'll be from the air con evaporator drain, these can clog up and the water drains into the passenger footwell instead.

If you lie under the car, put suspension height on extended, and above the gearbox bellhousing on the body either side are rubber drains which look like flower petals, stick your finger or a piece of flexible hose up them and it should dislodge collected debris and realease a torrent of water all over you, then you know the blockage has been cleared.

A quick taste test will determine if it is cooling water instead.

I dont know what engine you have but the water pump is behind the pulley on mine 4.0V8 disco , you could have a gasket gone , I take it you have checked for obvious leaks around pipe joints etc and the coolant level?

thermostate is coman also the rad and water pump. the expansion tank also leaks and sprays the pulleys just to confuse the matter

its diesel,and still no luck!
Just to add, filled the rad up took it for a drive and when came back it had stopped, not sure whats wrong here?
