Hello everyone,

I bought an '06 plate 90 about 3 months ago. Since i bough it i have noticed water ingress onto the passenger mat, just a little but enough to know its not from muddy boots. Today i went out in the torrential rain to find a puddle on the rubber mat. I know Landy's are inherently leaky but i wasnt expecting it from a fairly new one. Anyone come across this before? All advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom.

I had a similar problem but more so! Eventually located a leak where the rear window washer jet penetrates the body above the rear door. Water ran into the channel inside the roof then found its way around the channel to the front thence onto the floor, result very wet mats!
Good Luck, 14landrovers

I would be more surprised if a defender owner posted on here that their land rover never had a leak into the footwell!

Ours was windscreen seal, this was after the dealer changed door seals, welded the bulkhead and put new flaps and seals on it luckily all under warranty,so get the screen sealed first.

it stops the wind that blows through spreading dust all over your passengers:)

Serves you right for buying a shiny newer one ,if you had an older one there would be holes for it to drain out again
Seriously though i had a problem with loads of water even on dry days turned out the pipe for the windscreen washers had split and everytime i cleaned the windscreen it ran onto the passenger footwell
now i only clean it when it rains
