Been to parkwood off road today. Decided to go through what I thought was a shallow water run (was last time I went through it) Ended up gettin stuck in a sumbmerged rut for 10mins or so. Water was 1" below wing top. Anyway... oil pressure light comes on and after investigation turns out water has got into oil.
Any ideas how?
Due to the amount of water i don't think it was the breather pipe. Defo not head gasket or owt like that.
What about the dip stick (and by that I don't mean the one driving it).

Yes, got snorkle. It hasn't hydro siezed just water got into sump, diluting oil and way over filling it

i would strip bottom end down as most the ones i have had to check after such events have had crank bearings and journals worn ,muddy water is very abrasive

Dipstick.....possibly filler cap if the sealing washer is tired.

Is your engine breather connected up to your snorkel? Dont underestimate the sucking power of a rapidly cooling engine

I stopped runing nearly straight away. So not overly worried about that. More bothered how it got there and how to prevent it happening again, i like gettig wet
