Water Dripping

Hi can anybody please help me,just bought a used freelander td4 mk1.
went to get in it today and discovered a wet patch underneath it,after liftint the bonnet up I noticed the water was dripping from a small rubber hose which looks like the end is squashed together.
What is this hose for and is it normal for it to be leaking water?

Air conn?

Havent used the air con.

It might help if you describe the location of the pipe.

The rubber pipe comes into the engine compartment from behind the dash

Might be a sunroof drain tube - assuming you have a sun roof

sounds very much like the air con condensate drain. just because you haven't switched it on, doesn't mean it hasn't been on.

if you set vents to screen clearing, air con gets switched on automatically.
