Hi. Thanks to the people who helped my wife.
Today I have been servicing my truck and I noticed the wastegate actuator wasnt working. Can anyone tell how hard is it to move the valve on the manifold that the actuator opens and closes. Mine is very very hard to move. The truck is boosting very well and I have not noticed any overboost and the engine is running perfectly and is returning around 30mpg on Bio so I am not overly concerned. Any help would be great. Cheers

I mean the wastegate arm (valve). Mine is super hard to move maybe even seized. I will be stripping it tomorrow.

Yep, it should be pretty stiff. If you get some pliars/mole grips vertically on the arm that the rod attaches to, you should be able to rotate/twist them to open and close wastegate.

Thanks I will give it a go in the morning. I am hoping to use the truck to go to Assen on Friday for the superbikes. I am sure the wastegate is stuck closed so it will be ok as its not overboosting. Famous Four quoted over £200 for the actuator which I am pretty sure is knackered because its not working and the vacuum pressure is ok. I am thinking the wastegate has seized but wont be sure until I have disconnected the arm and seen if it operates. I will post my findings.
