Was woken up this morning at almost 04:30hrs by my car alarm. Went outside to find someone had attempted to lift the bonnet of the Disco and thankfully failed. They have damaged a rubber on the passenger door and put some marks on the bonnet, but other than that it's OK.

They also tried to break into the barn, but clearly didn't have any tools man enough. I recently lost the key to the padlock I had on the barn and had to cut of the lock assembly. I re-welded new ones on and use an MOD grade closed hasp padlock. They would have needed an angled grinder or Oxy' cutter to get in.

Old Bill not interested as "nothing was stolen". Spoke to the local beat Officer, who was interested, and she will pop around later, but will phone around the local farms to warn that we could have some scrotes in the area again.

If you live in a 10-15 miles radius of me then I would suggest you take extra care in the coming days/weeks just to be sure. It could simply have been opportunists that got stuck on news years morning, but we are 9.5 miles from Sudbury and 7.2 miles from Bury St Edmunds, so they must have had transport and the opportunist seems a little unlikely.

Take Care everyone, make sure your stuff is safe.

just spoke 2 sombody who deals with 999 and 0845 calls and response call in my area, and they say they would of attended, just to try and check for prints at least, but they would of attended, so is obv differnt at your police head quarters
