Warning lights on after I have changed my rear brake pads

i have changed the rear brake pads on my p38 and unseized a rear caliper and now every time I bake I get my abs tc and brake warning lights come on also a no traction message on the dash display as well as no abs warning on the display. Has anybody any idea what I have done wrong, as really getting frustrated with it all now.

Have you bled the system as per the RAVE manual...??

The P38 is very sensitive about the brake bleeding process and must be done to the letter as per the workshop manuals...

I'm new to range rovers have only had it a week. What do u mean by the rave manual??

If the caliper was seized on the slide's I cannot see why the system needs bleeding. If he had to pop the piston out then yes. Does it have wear sensor's on the back?

Yer one of the pistons had to be popped out

Go to the home page and click on Technical archive, click on Wammers " eas how to " guide and you will find the link to the Rave manual, or do a search for Rave link as the link has been posted many times.

Maybe you have moved or damaged the ABS sensor on the hub. Make sure it is pushed in until it touches the reluctor ring. And that the wiring is sound. Contained in this maybe the rest will be of some use to you at some stage.

I was going to say when removing stuck rings don't use a 2 lb hammer and cold chisel. Ooops to late.

Cheeky pair of feckers...

Gutted about the pistons I have to say....I was using a tiny drift to push the rings up and out, and ping it went on the 3rd piston and dinked the edge of the land....then the 4th piston snapped.....I was being super gentle and taking my time too.....

Happens Ant, some you win some you lose unfortunately. Looks like you may need some valves also. Hell of a job to take on when that badly water damaged.

Better to happen now than on start up mate. Must have been weak.
