Got my 300 through its mot today at last! It failed at the end of October last year with a list as long as my arm so I've been without it as I slowly got through all the bits needing doing. All in all for the ticket I have renewed every brake pipe on the beast, completely replaced the boot floor incl all struts and new supports etc, patches here, there and everywhere, new extended brake hoses, new rear brake calipers, new rear brake pads and disks, cleaned and painted the chassis, cleaned out sedimentor, painted my axle nice and red lol, fitted a powder coated chequer plate rear door card (which looks awesome IMO), hopefully fixed my leaking gutters, and last but not least fitted some US spec cupholders!!! Word of caution, if anyone takes out there boot floor, DO NOT cut through the tie rods linking your chassis to the seat belt mounts as they are extremely hard to get hold of second hand due to being rotten or seized and land rover will charge you £48 just for two eyebolts!!!!! Anyway, after saving loads of money by doing the work myself I am feeling rather accomplished and just wanted to share my joy. I am now going to treat the old girl to a set of diff guards and set about undoing all my hard work at some offroading days. Thank you to everyone who has given me advice in the past few months

Well done mate! Its nice to know there is an end to it all! I'm currently working through my own list, since july, maybe done by this july coming if I'm lucky!

Thanks guys, I just hope it all holds together as I'm going from north to south Wales and back in it on the weekend to cheer on the mighty welsh against the kilt wearers (should be a good game). I'll try and take some finished pics in the light tomorrow in the meantime this is how it looked when I started:

Ah the seatbelt mounts, I found the same issue, in the end got the eye bolts and clevis pin from an engineering shop and made new brackets by cutting a piece 3mm rectangular box section in half and shaping it like the original, then welded a 5/16 UNF nut to the inside of it.
