Wading, anyone used this kit

others have used it -- but it aint necessary. wading plugs are to stop water getting in - not to stop stuff leaking out - so why would you want breathers?

just got me thinking, you could fit and forget about them instead of putting the plugs in before each run.

Bollix!
absolute crap

The timing cover and clutch housing wading plug holes are only there to allow oil which leaks from the crankshaft oil seal to drip out. The plug stops water ingress when wading (surprise). How would a breather help?

Thats the kind of answer I was looking for. Didnt know if the seller was telling porkies or was onto something

Cheers MHM

Do you have a snorkle?

this will do yo axles.
Yu also need to extend the two box breathers up to the highest point possible (top of engine bay of top of snorkle.

Oh and dont forget the wading plugs

If you want to make it neat - yu could use a fannymould.

No snorkel yet but very tempted by the southdown set up.

Wanted to get the extended breathers in first and will move onto snorkel after.

depends what your planning to do. out on the plains and you see a pond, take a dip in it and it turns out to be deeper than u think, id rather have the snorkel in place and take a chance with the axles

I don't see why people buy those wading kits .. there are already breathers and tubes installed on axles, so why not just get an in-line connector onto the existing and add extra tubing? Saves all the hassle of removing a good breather, fitting a new one and re-doing the plumbing ...
