Hi after 4 years of owning a Q7 4.2TDI sline, I have found the light again and traded it in for a Range Rover, my 4th over the many years. So i am the proud owner of a 60 plate Vogue Se in Silver- and very nice it is to.
I have however a question and don't know if i am being stupi (probably) or there is someinth wrong with the central locking. Here goes when driving along the centrla locking engages itself- great. When I come to a stop, turn the engine off I need to pull on the door lever twice to open? and when it finally opens it doesn't disengage the central locking from the other doors, is this correct or do i have a lock problem? I have small kids and getting them out of the back is tough as I then can't open the door from the outside without using the fob?
2ndly the previous owner has misplaced the ipod connector cable is there an alternative to paying 60 gbp to a dealer for a new one?

Many Thanks

locking sounds normal to me - a safety feature that can be turned off if not needed by your dealers.

regarding the ipod cable ? is it a specialist cable or a simple 3.5mm jack to jack lead ?

thanks for your quick response on the central locking- it seems to be a specialist cable not just a 3.5mm jack to jack lead.

Central locking is normal even on my 03 Vogue. Get into the habit of pressing the unlock button on the dash before getting out.
