Hi, basically my brother in law bought a defender 90 from a friend he’s had it a while and only just realised it says it’s a 110 on logbook after panicking checking vin in the windscreen and on the right leg is correct. After using vin decoder everything’s correct wheel base 90 etc just a bit confused cheers

Agreed, getting the V5 updated with the correct details is usually a simple job however I don't know what they will be like with something like a model type / wheelbase. They may ask for historical photos to show it has been like that for some time.
I have done it twice now. The first time was 3-years ago when I realised that the chassis-number was recorded incorrectly on the V5, it was just that I hadn't noticed for the previous 17-years that I had owned the vehicle! Second time was when I had the body type updated from van to soft-top (once again another update that was slightly overdue and I supplied photos).
