Disco 2 vibration

Hi. i have a 01 plate td5 with 150000 on the clock.probably not linked but noticed yesterday a squeak from the offside front wheel seems to be the brake pads not returning properly on stopping front nearside disc warm front offside very hot.thought i would mention it. driving back from norwich today did over 100 miles non stop on stoping at traffic lights the whole car was shaking not desperatly but enough for my wife to notice. as i pulled away the car did not seem to have full power seemed as if it was not firing properly seemed ok cruising at 50 but when i went up to 60 the whole car was shaking violently dropped back to 50 shaking stopped . every time i took it over about 55 it started to shake violently cruised home the last few miles at 50 car not shaking so as to notice but could not make up my mind if it was firing right. any ideas. many thoughts. many thanks. alan.

Sticking calipers and worn discs on the front would be my guess

Hi, First thing is to make sure the caliper is free and guide pins not binding. Is the "shaking" a missfire? If so time for a new injector harness.

And while you're in the mood for scrambling underneath your Disco, it wouldn't hurt to check the condition of U/J's on the prop shafts and the rubber doughnut at the rear axle.
