There's a vibration from the front end that kicks in at 30mph, disappears, then starts again at 70mph.
It's not vibrating though the steering (have had tracking/balancing done) so, any ideas?

Also check the torsional vibration damper on the front of the crank, UJ's are the best bet though.

Ta, will get both checked.

Even with only 12 months on it, I wouldnt rule it out. Is vibration coming through steering wheel? What kind of tyres is it running?

No vibration through steering. Running Marshall Venture APT's, both brand new (2 months ago) and wearing evenly.

What's the VCU?
Viscous Coupling Unit, acts as a centre diff lock. Unevenly worn tyres may overwork it causing failure. Jack one front wheel, gearbox in neutral, you should be able to very slowly turn the wheel using a great deal of constant force. If the wheel will not turn, the VCU is seized and it will possible destroy the front diff.
