I recently had reason to take my 03 Td4 to a dealer to test the cause of a rather flat pull away. They identified a low output from the high pressure pump which has now been resolved.
What else would I need apart from a laptop which I already have to have been able to diagnose this myself? I havn't been involved with vehicles to any extent since the introduction of electronic engine control and would like to have a better understanding myself. Does anybody have specific recommendations as to what to look at? I have a good electronics and mechanics knowledge already.
