If this has been covered before im sorry as i searched and couldnt find it

Anyone with past experience of having a landrover delivered by courier ?

I googled it and tryed one website and the prices seem to be between £2 and £3 per mile one way which with the hassle ,trailer hire and fuel seems ok to me

Im aware of the problems of buying unseen (part of the reason i dont want to travel far as ive been disapointed before !) so as its a landy id stick to trusted sellers and galv chassis !

Am i aswell avoiding anyone in particular ?

Thanks

been offered something from wiltshire (7 hours so may be a bit far) just got me thinking as ive seen a few go for reasonable money but ive overlooked them as i didnt want to drive a series that far

saw a nice one in manchester a few weeks back so put machester to my adrress and the best quote was £195

a series? btw, you know that chris has a few series in his yard i think he'd sell.. if he answers the phone :D

Was going to suggest you speak to any of the local firms that contract to the AA. RAC etc, and see if you could get it done as a back-haul. But 7 hours is a bit far for that.....
There used to be someone on here that got good reviews...will have a look...

Used the shiply website to find a courier when I brought my Range Rover, company that I choose from the offers received was called recoveryA2B and had no problems. Oxford to Coventry was about £120.

I wouldnt drive 7 hours to look at a car so i would expect it to cost a bomb to have it delivered but as you say if i was lucky enough to find someone with an empty space on a trailer it may be cheaper

trax ,what they like ? been sat in a field for years and likely to be rotten or worth a look ?

i've never seen them up close, but change field for barn. remember I've only met him once.

he's meant to be very reasonable pricewise though.

crashbox might know better. send him a pm
