Well i started bout three weeks ago as the weathers warmed up[no bad frost]bought a new fuel filter ,as i think this is gonna rake a load a ****e from the tank, think the weak place is gonna be the silly fuel pump in the tank, have had a good look at the fuel circuit, and dont think there is any other weakness ,in fact everything is good fer this, have taken out a fuel injector and took a photo and will do the same at the end of summer [if it proves a success] ,so i started off at 5% as that is what they use in Europe anyhow, and last week uped it to 8% cant tell any difference in starting ,power etc still smells like a diesel seems to be smoother and I'm sure it is quieter[could be wish full thinking] however gonna keep it at 8% for time being ,then if all is well going fer 10% hoping to hit the 20%mark by end of summer, have got plans fer winter with a mod, but just monitoring for time being, using asdas cheapest , 45p litre, but can buy in bulk from trade at 20p ltr but not too bothered at this point, if it does damage will let ya know,as then it would be a no go,and yer can all have a laugh at my expense, hey ho. . . .:)

Intresting!!!
Just had me Hippo out for a play in the woods, Went great under the trees(dry, wi bits o roots and stuff) gets to the top of the hill, good steep one mind, over a ditch onto some muddy grass! Both front wheels broke free and spun, no drive to the rear, going nowhere(Tw+t)
Dont tell the tractor lads will yer

My mate has been running his Vectra on 25% Asda's own since xmas and says its fine....I am still a bit tentive though...keep up the good work Ming! Don't you need pre-heaters for the fuel though when the weather turns cold?

Er yep not getting to carried away at the mo , hope ta reach the 20%come the warmer weather ,bit concerned bout that rear fuel pump as i feel that is the weak link, however if nothing go's tits come the winter then i'm gonna fit a electrical pre heater and a heated fuel filter , but to be honest think that will be of more use if i get to 40%,ill keep yer posted. . .:)

ye its a bad one i did 1000s of miles on central heating oil in a ford everyone said that was bad but the only concern i had was getting pulled by customs at least if you get tug of the customs you can claim it is legitimate bio purchased at the pump and all that ****e, if you are doing lots of miles goodluck if not is it worth it!,i had a root around on the bmw forum there not keen on bio and disabling egr valves is mechanical suicide

The egr issue is a thing thought good on here iand, and the bmw forum is a bit damage limatation, the Germans are the biggest users of bio and svo , been doing it fer years and in bmw's. . .:)

sod it im going to have a go to, http://www.dieselveg.com/
good man but keep it below 12% and youll be fine and carry a spare fuel filter cos it will rake up the ****e from yer tank, but if done slow [thats a good thing] and never fill yer tank right up case ya wanna thin down, the chippy smell kicks in bout 15% and people stop yer to buy a bag. . .:D
