After a year of not parking 110 td5 double cab on slopes because I get air in the fuel system. It finally died on the flat and wouldn't bleed. looking to replace the sender unit. I'm not getting the £50 cheapie but is there a difference between the £180 OEM unit from VDO/Seimens and the genuine Landrover unit at £300?
Not looking to skimp, I only want to do it once.

Landrover don't make their own units, so it could well be a rebadged VDO unit. It's worth a bit of research - look for photos of the original, or look closely on your own for a makers mark.

I got a Siemens one in March 2015 and it's still going strong, so from my limited experience it seems like they're OK, and are reasonably long lived units.

Thanks all. Ive ordered a VDO and the 3 filter pipes as all the ends snapped off in the old pump. I'll fit a new end to the sender to engine pipe.
