im after a vcu and support bearings,
been trying to get a price from a local 4x4 landrover specialist but keep getting sent round the houses.

all I want is a new vcu and bearings, new not recon, at a good price.

any recommendations.

thank you

There is only 1 'new' VCU and that's the original GKN unit. As such it should be simple to source and presumably the price won't fluctuate much. There is a choice with the support bearings - don't go for cheap after market ones - go genuine/oem.

Having said the price shouldn't fluctuate, I just checked and it does! .....

The genuine item in that list is exactly the same as the GKN unit. I think the only difference, appart from the rediculous price difference, is that you get a 2 year warranty with the genuine LR item.

Hi Adam.
Try these below ask for Sarah I purchased my front drive shaft and my VCU which is a genuine GKN they also sell the support bearings.

try Bells a lot on here have do not go to the old Freelander specialist up north. I can not think what they are called now the "New" one I had off them let me down in thick snow and as I am disabled and unable to walk that far I was really stuck as it would not go up the hill until a very nice landy owner came to my rescue , they did send me another one but my son in law was away and I had to pay again to have it fitted.

thank you for your replys

it bell automotive ive been trying to get a price from,. to no avail
ill get one ordered from those links.

get this freelander working as it should.

while im there when drive is taken up in 2nd gear with "spirit" there is a thud from rear, im assuming a diff mount is tired.
how much do these sell for, ill change that while im sorting the vcu

Adam it will most likely be the front rear mount I have had to change mine again recently after only 10.5 months this time I went for poly bush, but bought all three just incase I need the others in the future link below.
