1999 Vauxhall Omega. 134K miles.
BMW M51 engine with mechanical FIP and manual gearbox. Car is currently used as my daily bus and has MOT until September.

I liked my old Omega. Fitted with the worlds worst TC system, but hilarious for sliding around roundabouts with it turned off. And a great mile muncher.

I'll probably regret asking but what's a M51 engine and what makes you think it's a popular choice for putting in a land rover?

The M51 is the BMW engine
Series number for the 2.5td straight 6 engine.
It is my understanding that this engine was used in the Defender, Discovery and Range Rover.

Not common, more a special choice! Not many electronics, so good under water
