valve spring cap thingys

after a strip down of my 1975 3 series 2.25 diesel engine we've found out that all 8 of my con rods are bent , so i've ordered new ones from paddocks, but on top of the valve springs the are little caps that sit on the collets any idea what these are officially called so i can order some more cos we've lost em

me thinks this man as got is bits mixed up. 8 con rods would = 8 pistons, try calling them push rods or thats what i think you are refering too,

no idea why they're bent , i bought it from a friend for £200 who bought it as a summer project from some random guy . basically he's owned it for about 18 months and its sat on the driveway since untouched and wondered why it wasn't getting any closer to being on the road , so i bought it. it started once we towed it home and throw some diesel in it but there was an awful noise coming out of the engine , so we took off the cylinder head and discovered 2 valves were stuck and every push rod was seriously bent so we re ground all the valves , cleaned it up , ordered a new set of push rods and now just waiting for them to arrive so i can put it all back together and see if the problem is fixed
