Vacuum pump boost issues

my vacuum pipe seems to be spinning around on the vacuum pump joint. My theory is this is causing me to loose boost. However, if this was leaking badly, wouldn't it also effect my brake servo ? My brakes seem fine.
It's on an 02 reg td4

You can watch the turbo linkage move under vacuum while someone revs the engine for you. Shine a torch into the engine bay through the right front wheelarch. You can do this on your own with a big stick to push the throttle pedal. The linkage should move about 20mm.

if it was leaking badly then yes it would effect your brakes as it all comes from that vacuum pump.
I had a pipe ware through ad the next hill I came to the brakes were that hard I had to stand on the peddle to get it to stop.
