I have a 2.5 na 90 and im having some brake problems, im not getting much stopping power and the pedal seems a little harder than normal, i have tried the servo test and i can confirm the pedal doesnt sink when started, i have also took the pipe off the vac pump and i can barely feel any suction, i have replaced thevac pump today and the suction is the same , has anyone got any light they can shed on this? Got the mot wednseday

Its a new vac pump on now am i right in thinking that it cant be sucking that hard as this would fill the block with air?

What do you mean about caliper seized that wouldnt have owt to do with no vacum would it???????

no it's just my brakes seemed to loose power recently and it was due to front callipers siezing stopping the pistons pushing out the pads.

it would fill block with air if it wasnt for the servo been air tight so pump doesnt shift very much air at all if no leaks in the system

Wouldn't worry too much about the mot, it is a manual test with 4x4 and doesn't need to be highly efficient. If it stops when pressing hard, then it's probably ok for the mot.

Depends on the test centre, many brake rollers can do 4x4's a the rollers simply run in opposite directions to test each brake.

As for the OP's issue, can't help but I have got exactly the same issue except for me it starts about an hour after driving, am going to sort it out today when I can be arsed to start...
