vacum hose turbo

Hi to all and any that can help in regards to a little problem i have relates to the vacum hose filter of the turbo, as mine has split a while ago before i got motor. so this what i need, were in hell dose it go or connect to as looked and can not see, the only place i see is steel pipe near the maf ???
help please.

turbo vent filter is connected to the lower hose from the turbo-actuator solenoid

steel pipe with a 'u' shaped end .. ( next to where that filter clips on )
is the breather for the ird unit ..
 
Ok cheers for that but dose the filter end connect some were or is free ???
as replaced the pipe no. 2 as was worn which runs around the back airfilter box .

was wondering about the possibilty .. but more to regarding the solenoid and turbo vane actuator
after someone told me i could see the solenoid from the drivers side front wheel arch ..
given the opening slot for the steering gear .. looks like it could be vulnerable to mud / debri thrown up by the wheel
