v8

just testing the water here
have 90 wich was 2.5 petrol have coverted it to 200 tdi used all the bits from my old disco .goes well no probs. problem is i have had offer from my mate v8 from his old sd1 all nice bits big valve heads ect, now what do i need to get it in my 90 can i use origanal 2.5 box rad ect any body done it on here. have tried the search but not much luck not worried about mpg as have an lpg kit to fit it

ive done a few ,i prefer auto box on v8 but you can do manual i f doing a manual i would use proper v8 defender lt77 or r380, or convert disco/rr v8 box but does require stripping to change gear selection mechnism, would also move gear box forward to defender v8 box position swap floor plates tunnel props rad ,v8 sits in proper place only std parts needed no bodging auto is same lenght as lt77 or r380,preferable to fit gear box with oil cooler option
