Just a snippet of information, ive taken from my old RR books showing the millivolts that the TPS for 1 the 3.5 and 2 the 3.9 also the part numbers fo the three TPS that were use then, maybe one of those can be found and used with a slight modification.

At the moment I’m having issues with down loading a pic from my new iPad so looks like I may have to use my old one.
The 3.5 is 290 +- 20 millivolts, 3.9 is 329 +- 35 millivolts both between the red & green leads.

RR part no’s 3.5 etc5598 etc6443 and 3.9 etc8495 the last one is also for the 3.9 200 series D1

The AES one is not available, I've already checked it:( and the other one on eBay I saw but £250!!!! & it's second hand? I'll see what this one I ordered for the 4.0 - 4.6 looks like, see if I can get it to work / fabricate it.

Just a thought it’s not really Donald Duck till you take it apart
Are there any numbers on it when you take it apart. RS electronics have a huge range of pots that you maybe able to make work.
Most sensors on the cars work on the same range so don’t destroy the main body.
It can be sorted. And am sure there is lots of guys on here to help if you can find some numbers.

I took apart a moulded hieght sensor and put it back together to last another 6 months. While waiting on new.
Becareful and you can get a lot of info from what you find. If it’s FUBAR then you have noting to lose.

It’s only a volume knob

Have you tried Racetech they do a replacement of that sensor for TVR.
Also ACT performance do a conversion type kit.which uses a Colvern pot, which cost buttons ( the pots only)
Might be worth a call they seem reasonable price if what I found is up to date.

But it shows it’s doable with your earlier “bodge” comment and maybe even very cheap if you could actually get the specs and just buy the pot and adapt using what you have in hand.

Well I managed to find one, sort of. Gonna have to do some inventive bodging to get it perfect but it will work. The only problem being is that I'm gonna have to adapt the throttle spindle as the TPS I've got has a D shaped hole, whereas the old one has a slotted metal bit sticking out of it.......Watch this space.
