v8 problems

got a 3.5 90 1987 origional with edlebrock carbs and have problems with it cuttin out when i go down the motorway over 50mph up a hill. iff i put my foot down to get a little more power it just dies but if i lift off i comes back to life but slows down cos cant put ny power down. its fine off road in low box up any steepness of hill. any ideas

prolly got Webbers and edelbrock manifold. Sounds like your mixture is becoming too week when it gets hot. Fraid I can't help cause mine does the same when I'm green laning.

She's booked in for some work at the week end and the carbs are one of the things getting fettled. I'll let you know the results.
