V8 efi not starting - no spark

Hi all.

Goes like this.

3528cc EFI 1988. Has been running fine on petrol/LPG for 7 years then on Friday I stopped for two hours after driving for about an hour. On returning to my RR , it would not restart. On cranking it sparks once when the HT lead is earthed, but that is it. Checked all wiring and changed Dizzy amp module, still only one spark. Any suggestions gratefully received as this is my only transport.

I'm battling a non starting V8 too so I've got a few ideas haha none have worked for me so far yet though but anyway

Is coil getting hot when attempting to crank ? if so could be duff

Is block earthed out properly ?

Is module good ?

Is rotor arm ?

Lead from ignition barrel to power coil ?

Thanks for the info.

Changed Module and Rotor, not yet checked the wire from ignition switch to coil or engine earth. Doing that tomorrow.

I changed a module over the other day and it was duff though, that was brand new from powerspark

Get a multimeter on it

I have tried three (two old ones) modules in total. What do I do with the multi meter to test the module?

not on module but on coil

9-12v should be entering the coil depending on ballast or not

Have a careful look at wires on coil and also to/from ignition amplifier - check for corrosion on wires and connectors.

Only one spark from the king lead or from a spark plug lead?

If king lead it simplifies the issue, if spark plug lead what about the others?
