V8 Auto

Hi all, how can i water proof the V8. Going lanning shortly with the YLRO Club.I know theres some rivers to cross and would like to be prepared rather than stranded mid stream as it where. I know i should have fitted a diesel but it dont sound as good as aV8, Bazz. V8 in Defender.

Stop the water getting in to the engine a sheet of plastic over the grill or if you want to spent money u can get a special mat to do the same job, get a waterproof sleeve or cover to fit over the dizzy and WD40 the plug leads I've been through a few fords with out problems but thats it, also don't exceed the recommended depth for your Defender.
Just dont try and follow what the Diesels are doing and u will be ok.

Also BAZZ cover the top of the coil I forgot that one .... And post a pic or two of you day out, we like pics

Coil is pointing downwards so i would'nt expect it to suffer, but i intend to put it in a w/proof housing just to be on the safe side. The pics will do if i get someone to ride shotgun. Family who needs them. Bazz.:doh:
