V6 Essex auto conversion on ebay...

Anybody know much about it? Was it built by Steve Parker who did the conversion plate for the V6 onto a series box?

Lovely engine, not too sure about an auto 'box tho'.

Would be idea if you're one of those people with a series and a prosthetic leg (There are a few around like that I think)

A nice conversion for a series,a simpler fit into the engine bay than a V8 and good performance with out as much thirst.
Not so good off road,motor needs the revs kept up you don't get that low down grunt.

stick the chevy v6 in it, that seems to have plenty of low down power

If you buy it be sure to change the oil pump drive shaft. Weak point on the lovely Essex engine, it is a hexagon shaft a bit like a pencil and rounds off, it is driven from the bottom of the distributor and the engine will keep going without pumping oil. I had 5 three litre Capri's and a Reliant Scimitar all Essex powered.

I've got the engine. This ad is just for a Ford C3 auto box mated to the series transfer box. I was wondering if there was anyone else out there with the same auto conversion.

There are a couple on one of the Facebook groups can't remember which though

Mating different gbox to series t case is rare I would say. Yanks do mate autos and v8 motors to series t case I have heard. Never seen one. People do fit r380 boxes as well with an ashcroft plate or similar to hook up to lt76. Some guy on here had some weird series with 3 spd auto and yank motor on a series case?
