Hi there, still searching for a Landy, I'm undecided whether to get a Freelander at all, or get a Rangerover with the 2.5 BMW engine? However I've been looking at the V6 Freelander as there are some seemingly good bargains out there.

Are there any V6 owners on here? What do you think about your motor, why are they cheaper than the TD4 other than obvious fuel economy? Are there any design issues like with the K series 1.8? If fuel is the only reason I'll most likely get the V6 because my other car is a Porsche so fuel economy is not that much of a problem for me. I've seen a nice Auto at 80k fully loaded with leather etc. for £2,495 from a dealer.

Anyone else got any ideas which way I should go? I know the TD4 is most popular but it's also most expensive and I like the idea of the power from the V6.

Sean thanks for your articulate, neutral reply! So what would you suggest I look at, constructive criticism is much more... er constructive.

I'm not bothered about what 'real 4x4 drivers think', I'm only buying it for winter weather as Porsche will be tucked away in garage with its blanky on!

Wow, nice language, why bother answering at all if you are just going to talk like that? Anyone without Torets got any feedback?

the V6 engined Freelander is the best 4x4 ever, you should rush out and buy one today

there, I guess that's what you wanted to hear - happy now ?

Wow this is a nice welcome to a forum, I thought I was joining a forum for people with similar interests, not a place to talk tough when you are hiding anonymously behind your computer. Thanks, I will go and find some people who don't live in the parent's basement and are fully grown to help me. Bye losers.

well maybe you shoulda read the posts on here before joining ?

decided to grow a thicker skin ?

decided not to ask a stupid question ?

not whined like a little bitch at the first answer from sean ?

I was asking for opinions not insults, suggesting I only wanted to her one thing is stupid, you could have said what you said without insulting me at the same time. I don't expect you to understand because when you stand outside the local shops with your friends trying to buy cheap beer with fake IDs you probably think its clever to talk to each other this way. Good luck with that attitude.
