difflock should it be in high for normal use or neutral

diff lock and high and low are separate functions, you can use diff lock in either high or low when surface has low traction ,depending on whatever speed is required,on the road with high traction you shouldnt use diff lock ,

thats what i thought, accidentally hit mine out the other day by removing the middle seat, lights playing up so not sure if its in difflock or not but seems to drive ok

Lever should be right and down. Diff lock is off at all times unless traction is lost or is likely to be lost. Normal road driving has the diff lever in diff lock off and high ratio i.e right and down

if your unsure jack a front wheel up,g/box in neutral if it wont turn its in diff lock and needs taking out and lever /linkage checking so that it does

If your light doesn't work I found the wiring to the switch not connected its on top of the chassis rail on drivers side if that helps :) :)
