Dear forum members, I am getting too much grief over trying to order parts for the front axle of my D90 (half shafts, cv joints, drive flanges, stub axles, wheel bearings, break disks with pads) and the additional parts for those (gaskets, greases, washers etc).
It seems that this link does work: http://new.lrcat.com, but I'm not able to put together which parts I need for my model year (VIN SALLDVA586A730036; 2006, so late TD5).
I know it looks like I'm asking someone else to do the job for me, but I've been tackling this for WEEKS (postponing ordering and fixing the truck every time) and have come to the point, that if asking for help on this forum doesn't work, I will go to the dealer and announce a hunger strike to force them to give me the correct parts' numbers :|
My questions are:
1) How many splines CV joints (thus half shafts) should a late TD5 have? Is this https://www.paddockspares.com/cvkit9-cv-joint-kit-defender-non-abs-and-abs-from-vin-la930456.html the one? Also, how to understand that VIN 'LA930456'? I googled it and looked up on this site, but it doesn't make sense to me :|
2) Is this the half shaft that a 2006 TD5 would normally have? https://www.paddockspares.com/tdc000030-front-halfshaft-lh-front-axle-from-la930456.html
3) Stub axle kit: https://www.paddockspares.com/stub-axle-kit-def-front-from-la.html (this one is easy because they list the part as to the end of TD5).

You can't imagine how much it would mean to me if someone helped me on this one
