Urgent help required PLEASE!!

I have a TD4 with coolant expansion tank 3/4 full of what looks like black greasy oil, looks like black thick grease.
How the hell did it get there, and where's the coolant gone.
No loss of power, no overheating (yet), no nasty emissions when tested for h/g problem.
Suggested oil cooler fracture (to be pressure tested tomorrow).

Please can anyone help me??

Becky

PS note to WIDGET, in 2005 you posted similar problem?? Do you know what the problemo was?

Hmmm, it did it on the M4 last year. The problem was the head which was either warped or cracked - then it forced oil into the coolant and straight out of the expansion tank. What a mess:mad:

The dealer took 3 goes to get a new head to sit right - I think the block needed skimming in the end.

It was expensive:(

Well i hope its the oil cooler the manifold of these rarely go but has been known, the other is like the last thread, however it could be the h g has gone tween oil and water [rare] but possible , its normal if h g tween oil and water that you get milky oil, but its known the other way, however i hope for yourself its the cheapest option, hope i make sense. . .:)
