hello, sorry for the 'urgent' question but I'm picking a new landrover up tomorrow (series 2a 1965) it's got lpg and petrol engine. I've just started to worry because I need to drive it 50 miles or so back home and the guy I'm buying it from got it in part exchange and doesn't know if it has an unleaded head so my question is: is there any way of telling if it will need an addititive? I've got the additive in case so thought I'd put it in just in case, but could this effect the engine if it has been converted to unleaded. I also wondered if a leaded or unleaded head made any difference to the lpg as I've never had a car that runs on it before. Hope this makes sense and thanks for the help.

wont matter will take along time ,(years )to effect exhaust valves ,those been the ones that may be effected to make a leaded unleaded you fit steel seats instead of cast iron no series vehicle unless it was v8 had steel seats, run it till you think exhayust valves are blowing then get seats fitted with new valves, same with lpg as it dosent have lead in
