Hi All,

Just a progress report on my fight with the beast!

ABS TC fault. Read ABS faults and points to right front sensor wiring fault, checked and found broken clip on plug so could be not making continous connection (action) see if I can make it more permanent.

Rear window wiper wipes then stops a little at a time (action) get replacement relay

Sunroof checked ALL manuals for position of the relay (none of which helped) think i traced it to under the dash on drivers side, well there was a yellow base (no relay in it!) (action) bought new relay plugged it in and....nothing! Strange but if you have the rear wiper on and press the sunroof buttons IT WORKS IN TIME WITH THE WIPER!!!!! Back feed from somewhere me thinks!

Cruise control looks like its a broken ribbon on the rotary coupler (action) make up a puller to get wheel off and then scratch head as to fix!

Why is that range rover ownership is like friggin computer game? you know "you have fixed the problem now move onto the next level!"

Cheers

great fun aint they?

Oh yes ;)

Forgot to say checked out the fusable links as I had read they can lead you a dance, and the second one I checked had broken just before the link, looked like the wire had just corroded away! So thought Aha! may be a clue, so repaired it, voltage now present. I at least expected something to work after that but no zip nada.... but I suppose somewhere its now happy.. It just doesnt want to show it !:)

Are there any suggestions on the sunroof problems? would really appreciate some suggestions on fixing it...

If it works ........................... ;)

Assuming you have a manual have a look at where if any there is a common connection. check wires for shorting etc does anything else either get affected by the rear wiper? :)

With regard to the cruise cassette . I made a puller for the steering wheel and took the cassette off to find a broken ribbon . With the aid of a magnifying glass , I managed to seperate the strands of copper strip in the ribbon , and re-solder the broken ones (2) back on , but it only lasted a few weeks then I forked out and got a good second hand one. Also check that the vacuum pipes are all on and free from cracks.
