Please help ! !

I recently bought a Classic. It had a few previous owners and all of them did their own thing to the car.

It has 2 x K&N filters, which is completely exposed. Is it possible to dump one and route both carbs through just one filter and then up, into a snorkel?

My other problem is relays. There is a lot of relays under the bonnet. I would like to relocate them to a central spot (maybe above the wheel arch). Where is the original place for the fuse box?

Lastly, I would like some pointers on waterproofing the car. Every time I go through water, it picks up a misfire.

Thanks guys.

You need an army box for the air filter method, water proof the dizzy……not sure how as I don't run a V8 but I'd think some tigerseal as a gasket (smear and leave to set before placing together) and then a bag over the top with a cable tie to secure it

Thanks.

Hey Steve, I stay in darkest Africa and e-bay don't deliver here. I was hoping for a DIY solution.

Dr, I spoke to a few guys over here and I think I'm going to use S/S sheet to manufacture a air-box and also to channel it through the engine bay. Think I'll have to use something with a thicker wall to go on the outside.

Thanks, Zen.

I'm gonna start tonight after work to do the shims on the front ball joints. The pre load.

After that I'll do the wiring on the car. I think I have quite a few bits missing if I compare it to yours ! ! !

Hi Zen

Thanks for the pic. I see your air intake is routes to the left? Is there any reason for that, cause I was thinking to take mine out through the right side.

I started doing the the preload shims. Then I realised I need a few extra tools. So if I finish that today, I'll start with the wiring on my car. I don't have that relay box above the wheel arch. All my cars relays are all over the place.

Do you have a snorkel on your car? When I do the wiring, I also wanted to start by routing the air intake for a snorkel.
