Uncommanded door unlocking

I have an 03 Freelander diesel auto es, suddenly has a mind of its own, after several hours sitting locked in the drive started to lock and unlock itself without any input from the phob, anyone else experienced this?

Peeps have had this in the past. In the first instance, take the keys off the kids. Also remove the battery from the fob once it's locked. Process of elimination. The buttons can sometimes stick.
