my dad has just bought a 52 reg 1.8 freelander, all is good apart from a bad vibration through the full vehicle at about 60 mph, i havnt had a look yet but hoping to have a look this morning, i was thinking maybe the prop or the vc in the middle, but driveshafts could be knackered to, anybody have any better ideas or what to try, oh an all the tyres have even wear, cheers james

ebay! lol
had a look this morning and found play where the front propshaft enters the ird and there was a little spacer hanging round it, like it had come out of the hole, is there sopposed to be any play in the prop, then i had a look at the back and the rear diff mount has totally colapsed so this wont be helping matters either, i went and got a new diff mount so i will report back in the morning when i fit it, cheers for the reply

say check the vcu, what do you mean? the rubber bushes on each side of it?
i replaced the rear diff mount but the problem, although slightl improved is still present, looks like it will have to got to the stealers.
