Hey that's the same colour as my Disco, (no, not the rusty bits), the blue bits, it's January '98, is that around the millionth? Need to look it up and see. Not as much rust in mine though but I see your problem.
Have you only recently bought it? If so hope it came cheap, the interior looks to be in good nick though, mine has a reasonable body but the interior looks as if it has been used as a dog kennel at some time.
They do rust, I had a new windscreen fitted just this week and the windscreen guy said that the top LH corner of the screen frame was badly rusted, guess that was why the car got a lot of water in when it rained the floors in front were always wet but strangely enough the floor metal is ok.
I understand you have salt on roads in winter that will greatly accelerate the corrosion process, that rear floor, that is bad, and the other guy says he's seen worse!
That's the sort of car you can keep on the roads here in Northern Australia, we do not have roadworthy checks, (MOT?), because we are classed as "remote" they reckon we are far enough from the big cities to get away with it, all official, but if you drive to the city and the cops pull you up and do a roadside check it could mean a fine and the plates come off and the old car becomes a "roadside exhibit", until it's taken away in bits and pieces, sometimes they just tell you to take it home and don't bring it back.
Anyhow looks like your spare time is taken care of for a good while now, it is not a bad looker...............on the surface.

I never knew that, every days a school day.
