Hello all I’m sure this has been asked many times but I have searched so...

I’m moving back to the UK after a while and ulez coming out to the south circular has snuck up on me. When I put the reg of a few Discovery 2 4l v8’s around the 2003-2004 mark into the ulez checkers online, they pass?.

is this right?, they are Euro 3 not 4 aren’t they, I know that it is confusing with some larger older vehicles passing and not newer smaller ones etc. If some one could confirm that would be amazing as I don’t want to buy and be let down when reality hits.

thanks

Thank for the reply

I appreciate that but it’s not that simple is it as some vehicles from 2001 and quite a few jags I believe are exempt for verifying reasons.
Does any one know why all the major online ulez checkers pass the v8 disco as it would seem it’s exempt, and a few sellers have it in there articles I have seen.

Thanks for that, that's very much what I needed to hear. if your friends D2 V8 passes then so will what I buy. and I am just up the road from Greenwich...or will be.

Until Khan moves the goalposts again, I brought a motor home10 years back and made sure it conformed to the
Emissions zone, but now it doesn’t including my Discovery mk1, why the new Zone should treat vehicles retrospectively is beyond me except as a way of earning revenue,
Money making exercise IMO,

yeah its very frustrating and I am not sure why. A friend of min who is into his jags said that two identical xjr's, one from 2001 and one from 2002 and be different for no reason in respect to the ULEZ. As far as the goal posts moving, at least I would get notice and it would take a while. I imagine I will have left London by then anyway.
