Hi all,

Looking to replace my UJs tomorrow on the front prop. I have been looking at this which is a pretty good guide:

Guide to Defender Propshaft UJ Replacement | Repair My Landrover

However it does mention packing the new caps with greese to prevent the needles from falling over. The only greese I have to hand is white lithium spray, will that do the job or is it not a good idea to use it? I have bought sealed UJs (no nipples).

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

they come packed or should do when replacing hold spider well into brg cap and press both as far through so that cap dosent come out completely ,this hels when fitting the other cap as spider can be pulled out of yoke to fit cap while still been a good way in the other you can then press on cap and push other back to circlip, vaselines okay,if you overpack you will bust something

Coolio thanks for the replies, I have some vaseline! :) so I'll give that a go. I wasn't aware they already come packed as well so I shouldn't need much :)
