Uj Help

Hi

I went to change my UJ's on the front prop of my 97 300tdi disco. I got the replacement UJ's and went to fit them, they did not fit, the cups were the right diameter but when put in there was a gap behind the cups and the circlips of around 3-4 mm both sides or there abouts.

I got another set as aparantly there were two variants, these did the same. I measured the old UJ body and it was 75mm pin end to pin end, I notice on the new ones its 75mm for the end of the cups if that makes sense...

So basically the new UJ's that are of the correct part number and size according to my research are actually too short for my prop yolks, has anyone encountered this before? I have looked for a second hand prop and they just look identical to the one I have.

Any idea's? I would imagine the size of Uj I would need for it to be correct would be 80mm maybe a tad more.

I have just done some research and there are some other Uj's used on series landys that are 82mm cap to cap so going to give them a shot, is it possible a front prop from a series would fit on a disco?? I am just wondering how thats happened

no prop wont fit but uj rtc3346 will

I have ordered two of them, How come my front prop has the larger ones in that are not listed as the correct ones?
