Just curious. Anybody tried General Grabber AT2's on their Rangie?
Looking at the Scorpion ST's, they dont look like they'd be as good as the AT2's off-road. Comments anybody?

My mate has them on his Disco 3 and really rates them. No increase in noise or mpg and they're lasting really well.

Quite interested in trying them myself...

you mention off road and rangie, fcuk what tyres you have, get the underneath sealed from water!! preferably with 40 gallons of builders faom, that should just about do it!!

Iam a tyre fitter and have just fitted a set of 255/55x18 at2s to my 4.6 hse after having sold lots of them and getting excellent reports back from customers. some pretty good mileage figures from commercial users who used to use bfg at tyres and now wont fit any thing else. they certainly seem to handle well and dont seem to tram line. quite impressive so far

I've had AT2s on my Rangie for about 6 months now (and had them on a previous 4x4 too)...

I think they are great, not too much road noise, considering the chunky tread pattern and not bad at all when on the muddy stuff. Handle well in the rain too...

I'd buy them again....

Hi everyone, I've just jonied the site today and would like some advice. I've just bought a p38 (my first foray into the murky world of the range rover) an it needs a new tyre. my problem is that I cannot find anywhere that stocks the brand of tyre that is currently fitted. the tyres on there called Lexani, the size is 255/55/R18109V. can anyone recommend another brand of tyre that is similar too the Lexani or point me in the direction of a stockist. many thanks in advance.

Got my AT2s fitted on Saturday. Not had a chance to try 'em off road yet (next weekend hopefully), but I'm very impressed with them on road (apart from a vibration at 70 that I assume is down to crap balancing as it didn't do it before). I'll get them rebalanced at my normal tyre place.

The ride seems much more substantial (if that makes any sense) and cornering seems to be improved too over the STs, although that may be subjective. They certainly look the biz.

I gave up trying to find STs (although I kept a fairly worn one if anyone needs one as a spare). A VAST improvement over the Scorpion STRs that I tried - they were hopeless on and off road.

Hi every one - rims&tyres any advice please... the old battle bus, a disco 1, 200tdi - might have a chance of getting some wolf rims & michelin XCR's? - I want a bit of green laneing & a bit of Morocco exped from em... what do we think??? Thanks.:)

Went off road the other afternoon in the wife's 4.0 which has GG AT2's on it. The track was very boggy and the peat just clagged up the tread until it had almost no traction at all. In fairness by old disco with Mudstars on it has struggled in that particular section of the track before. We just put it in low and let it crawl it's way up the slope and out of the ****ty section. They are very good on the gravel road to Stanley though, I'm thinking about getting some for my 4.6 to replace my Scorpions which it came off the boat with.
