Sorry if this has already been asked.

I want/need new tyres for my 99 Disco 2. Currently I have some Insa Turbo retreads with the BFG tread pattern on the standard 16" wheels. I don't feel too confident with retreads for a start and I swear it feels like I'm driving over cobbles sometimes. So I'm guessing they've gone out of shape. I've only had her 5 days and it's not a nice feeling. Funds aren't allowing me to do everything at once, but I have to change the tyres asap.

I want to keep the standard 16" alloys (for now) and I can't lift the body just yet. So.... what are the biggest tyres I can fit without too much/no body modifying?

Any advice appreciated

may i ask what do u want ur tyres to do

i've just put some cooper at3 on mine

The plan is to do some greenlaning at the weekends and the odd on tarmac errand. No regular motorway jaunts.

the tyres ive fitted won't be much good then if u wish to do more extreme off roading

hopefully the link about will help u more

Have a look on oponeo as they are a few quid cheaper than ebay or you could pay an extra few quid and get some toyo open country which someone on here uses and quite like. I've got a tratter with BFG's on so I can't recommend any sizes

You might consider a set of Event ML698 A/T (same pattern as the BFG A/T) in the 235/70 x 16 size.
Excellent value and good to drive with. A full set should cost around £250.
