Tyres………no this is not a "what size can I fit" thread

I say Maxxis :p :D my side walls have taken a beating so far and no cuts, plus they're under warranty so if they do go when off roading you get a 20-100% discount off of a new tyre depending on how much tread you have left

I'm very pleased with these as they have extremely good road manners for an MT

i had seen someone eles say that, how does the warrenty work as such? carnt the just blame it on mis use? do you have to buy from anywhere specific? or just a tyre shop?

Basically go back to the stockist, if you've cut it on slate by mistake when offroad of clipped some metal on a pay and play site they'll replace the tyre. I've got the leaflet downstairs I'll take a pic later and upload it but its a very good warranty

sounds good as my main worry is to buy a new set and destroy one on my first pay and play,

ive just been on there website and it states normal road use in the warrenty bit,

which tyres are you running?

ill speak to my tyre place tomorrow, what are they like on the road? as i had been told they were rubish in the wet ect.

im trying to decide between coopers and gt muds botrh same price, what atre the side walls like for punctures?

I've never had a punctured sidewall, but I've heard Dr Evil has, he wasn't too pleased :D

****ing right I wasn't  BFG AT's thought the buggers were meant to be tough, basitd couldn't even cope with a little bit of slate, the Maxxis have so far though, same greenlane, same route and they didnt slice

:p sorry made me giggle :D I thought it was the STT's that you sliced, but I can see why because the A/T I had before didn't look as meaty as Maxxis ones, I think I'm going for Mickey Thompsons next time :D

235 85 or 265 75 bout same price i think.

Has anyone ever used the? I've had nexen 4x4 at van tyres and nexen winter tyres. Both seamed good.

235/85 are taller than 265/75 so it's all down to personal preference

A friend of ours has used Nexen AT II's and you get what you pay for, they lasted a while but weren't a very aggressive tread, but they are very cheap tbh, the MT's are more aggressive, but I couldn't say I know how they perform

The AT II's look like this, they would be ideal for the road though :D

Hope this helps

the height difference is virtually none existant as a 235/85/16 is only 2mm taller than a265/75/16

I know, I didn't specify how much taller, it's just some people don't like 265's for the road because there's too much drag on them compared to 235's :D
