tyre sizes on a 05 Freelander Sport ?????????

Might be a silly question but best asking & not assuming.

I am looking to fit a general grabber AT to a recently acquired 2005 Freelander TD4 sport to the standard 18 rim? Current tyres are 235/50/18 a mix of names.

Can I fit a 235 / 60 /18 tyre to my 05 Freelander sport? Will the extra depth of rubber catch the wheel arches?

Tricky one this...

You have to watch for the heated curler stowage bay - it impinges on the upper part of the nearside front wheel arch inner and thus limits the size of rubber you can fit.. likewise the rear offside inner arch has routing for the power cables for the hair clippers.

There should be more than a few knowledgeable freelanderers more able to answer your question. Also there's tyre size calculators on t'internet which should give you an idea of rolling diameters - be careful how it might affect the speedo accuracy as well as catching arches.
