Tyre recommendations...

Hi All.

Looking for recommendations to the best on/off road compromise tyres that will go on the 225/55/17 alloy wheels. Everything seems to be a 95% road bias tyre for this rim size. Something a little more aggressive wouldn't go amiss!

All the tyres available for 225 55 17 are road bias tyres, if you want to fit any type of off road tyres you need to go to either 15" or 16" ,loads of options available at these sizes.

I'm tossing up between....

save your cash fit budgets or marshall tyres,unless your going to break it off road then any other tyres are a waste on a freelander

Definately get a spare set of wheels there is a good choice of tyres available in 16".
Went for General Grabber - much better off road, but brings the handling down on tarmac to Disco levels.

I disagree the're a waste - battered but unbroken

Think it'll go with the Scorpion's. Seem a reasonable compromise tyre - just noticed my father has them on his Freelander II.
