You may flame me for this but I couldn't find an answer.

Head down, here goes:

Thinking of fitting some Cooper stt 285's on my 110 (1992, 200Tdi). Do I need a lift kit? Has anyone experienced any negative effects using these tyres without adding lift?

Thanks

Had 285/75x16 on mine and definately needed a lift, cracking tyres although did change the gearing so be aware that they can affect towing.

Thanks for the info chap. I'll probably avoid these tyres then as I don't want to start replacing anything else on the suspension or props to compensate.

My new job will require me to have grip in mud, and purely out of vanity I like the wider looking tyres, so anything you can recommend would be appreciated.
