i have swb series 3 safari and have found two pipes one which comes out the top of petrol tank and other one goes nowhere but looks like it was designed for the another fuel tank. could anyone help me gain an understanding of why there are two when only one goes to fuel tank.

It could have been a twin tank at some stage, and if so, that is probably the balancer pipe between the two tanks.

My petrol tank on my disco has a fuel supply and a return back to the tank.

if its ex mil , it has a changeover sw in the drivers footwell, diesels have a return pipe. sometimes the return pipes are Teed in to the feed
